Mind Surge *TA Style*
Hey I'm new to the forums... I made a build like this for GvG and I thought it would be fun to downsize it to TA Size!
1 Mesmer/X *X=Any profession*
Energy Surge, Energy Burn, Mind Wrack, Signet of Weariness, Ether Feast, Arcane Echo, Leech Signet and Energy Tap.
1 Elementalist/Ranger
Mind Burn, Incendiary Bonds, Fireball, Rodgorts Invocation, Immolate, Troll Unguent, Aura of Restoration and Glyph of Lesser Energy.
1 Elementalist/Ranger
Mind Freeze, Ice Spikes, Deep Freeze, Glyph of Lesser Energy, Healing Breeze, Aura of Restoration, Shard Storm and Heal Other.
1 Elementalist/Monk
Mind Shock, Lightning Strike, Lightning Orb, Ennervating Charge, Blinding Flash, Healing Breeze, Heal Other
Strategy: The point is to allow the Mesmer to drain the energy of the target, then spike (at the same time) with Mind Surge/Freeze/Burn to deal a large amount of damage while snaring and burning the opponent. If this fails then the Elementalists still have their Utility skills to fight. This build uses 2 secondary monks to maintain their health while pumping out damage.
Any suggestions? Critism is appreciated *only if its needed*

All 8 skills in this build combine so perfectly that to remove one for whatever purpose would be criminal

I thought the point of the build would be the immediately shut down an opponent with Nrg-Denial and then Triple Mind-Spell spike! ^^ And the only 2 non-nrg heals that I can currently remember are Healing Signet and Signet of Devotion. Both of them take 2 seconds to use *by then the utility spells should finish the job* and Healing Signet leaves you considerably less powerful for the casting duration. And since Monks are the primary target and most TA Builds carry around only 1 Monk it would work decently!

What do you do if, and this is a big if here, they hit you with an axe?

It seems to me there are easier ways to pull of a good spike in TA.
I like to have a monk running around, so that leaves 3 spikers...which can be plenty:
mes/? with Phantom Pain->Shatter Delusions (79+Deep Wound)
E/Mo Air with orb/strike/heal other?/blinding flash/ether prod (~140+70 vs 60-armor target)
Earth Ele with Glyph of Energy/Obs Flame/Stone Daggers (118+52)
So these 3 spike together with 337+deep wound, followed up with another 112 damage 1.75 sec later. (Plus a possible Shatter Enchant by the Mesmer for 106dmg) Not an overwhelming spike, but repeatable...and enough to kill a target quickly. A build like this lets you pack some great defense with earth wards and an E/Mo that can be a backup healer when needed, as well as shut down a warrior or ranger with blind.
Anyway, I haven't thought too hard about this...just wanted to show an alternate spike. I always thought the point of a spike build was twofold: (1)to negate the monks ability to heal by doing LOTS of damage in a short time, and (2)to free up the team to do more defense since you only have to spike every 10 sec or so. This build leans more toward the 2nd reason (defense), while the OP's build is a full damage build.
At the very least I would work in rez sigs...TA can be a blast with a good damage build and no monks, but you need to be able to rez your teamates. I can't imagine a single skill that is better than a resurrected teamates 8 skills.

lol If they smack you with an axe then you smack them right back with a spike! Maybe fitting in a rez is a good idea though...

Now I am assuming you typo'd....But Your E/R can't have Healing Breeze or Heal Other...
And as for constructive criticism:
I dislike the cast time for alot of elementalist spells. I think this build is going to be very vulnerable to interrupts, which will certainly negate alot of the rythm and effectiveness of the entire build.

Putting in gale might be a good idea but in this build you have 80% attunement so a lightning orb (15 energy) only costs 3 energy - you will have regenerated by the time your casting is finnished.
It also means you dont have the exhaustion problems of Ep.
You can read the full build here

Unless it's stripped (paranoia or no?).
Anyway, I like this build, common stuff or no. Offensive, in your face, with just enough support for 4v4 not to get too defensive or gimmicky.
Anyway, for the OP, I'm not sure if that much E-denial makes too much sense in TA...

Unless you can consistently spam Blinding flash- and this will be hard without Ether Prodigy- you'll get ripped apart by a Warrior.

Try running air spike in TA if you really want to spike. 3 Air spikers with Orb / Strike / Charge. Monks in TA generally have a reaction time of about 7 seconds, and even if its lower, it will still work. You will win an infinite number of games in a row and its insanely easy. Either infinite or until your mom (aka Guild Wars service message) tells you that you have been playing for __ hours and need to take a break.

Do the messages get worse after 4 hours? Because after that point I just don't pay attention anymore.

I'm actually not sure. I've wondered about that though. They tell you to take a break after 3 hours or whatever, yet technically if you just left the game on and went afk, they may think you are another one of those korean guys who commit suicide by never stopping playing video games not even to eat or go to the bathroom or breathe and such. What would they say to those kind of people?
You have been playing for 57 hours. Think about your loves ones.

lol the whole point of the build is that you can spam blinding flash and you dont have the exhaustion problems of Ether Prod. A blinding flash only costs you 3 energy - when i play this build i can keep constant blinding flash on at least two targets at the same time without any energy problems.
